THERE IS NO GOD BUT ABBA

January 17, 2016

Their bodies traced by the very dim sun rising outside through the curtains. We can hear the Islamic prayers going out very loudly next door. It’s four in the morning and we are awake for the same reason as many other Muslims in the area. Prayer. Except we are praying to the One and Only. Tears stream down our face, detected by the sniffles being heard. We are burdened and praying the Father’s heart over this country and area of Southeast Asia. Tired and a bit unsure on where to start, all I can whisper is….

There is no God but Abba.”

Over and over again, this is all I can state. I have only been in this country for 6 days and I already have a glimpse of what God is doing here. Our ministry host are loving, phenomenal, joyful, and so knowledgeable. We can not wait to learn more. This country is beautiful and exotic in every sense. The people are beautiful inside and out and I am so very humbled to be apart. God is doing so much and this is only the beginning.

Today we had the chance of going to a house for unwed mothers. They were celebrating the anniversary of the home and we were so blessed to be apart of the gathering as they all prayed over the newborns. I watched young mothers hold their babies close and cry as some declared they were giving their babies up for adoption. The weight of the situation was almost too much to bare. One girl in particular, 12 years old, wept as she held her son close. This was real love and you could almost touch the tangible pain she expressed. Yet, it hit me, God loves her so much more than we are even able to love and He has such a mighty plan for her future and her baby’s future.

Through the last few days and the processing; If there is anything that I can state, it’s that God loves His children. Even those who don’t know their His children. It doesn’t matter what mistakes you have made, and it doesn’t even matter if you can’t see what’s next in front of you. HIS LOVE IS REAL AND WE ALL NEED HIM!

Romans 8:15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry,”Abba, Father.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me,”My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
